The Right of Way story
"Right of Way" got its start when partners Pete Billey, Tom Brown, and Jack Brown began felling and clearing trees for local customers using little more than a few chainsaws and a mule. This partnership led to the formation of Right of Way Clearing and Maintenance, Inc. in 1969.
Determined, Pete and Tom grew the business with the help of skilled and dedicated employees, honest business relationships, and strong management. Right of Way steadily grew into an operation employing hundreds of skilled professionals over the years. Our crews became known for efficiently and safely tackling difficult jobs over rough and steep terrain, primarily in the eastern United States.
Today, Right of Way is respected as a leader in the gas and oil pipeline industry, trusted in clearing land for projects great and small for over 50 years. We're proud to be family-owned and operated throughout our history. We're ready to serve you as our valued customer!
